Are you looking for ways to experience and learn history throughout our museum with your group or loved ones?

Visit2

We have done the hard work for you! Whether it’s your first or tenth visit, NMAAHC has planned special experiences designed for families, friend groups and couples visiting our museum.

Some people live for fortune, some just for fame. Do you know which your partner would choose? Connect with them on a deeper level through this series of questions and activities. This pathway will take you on a journey where you’ll discuss everything from your favorite poems to which historical era you’d like to travel to. Commemorate your visit with a photo in front of the National Mall using our scenic overlook.

However you define family, you know you can just call, and they’ll be there. Use this pathway to learn more about your family members and engage deeper with museum content. Follow in the footsteps of star athletes, activists, and military heroes as you travel through the Community Galleries on Level 3. Don’t forget to pose for a family portrait in front of the Washington Monument.
